Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), amerikanska senatens underutskott, avslöjade på tisdag, 13 september i ett möte med Center for Near East Policy Research Director David Bedein att han har gjort en officiell begäran i juni att GAO, US General Accounting Office, skall göra en utredning av UNRWAs utbildning och medverkan med terrorgrupper.

USA donerar $ 400.000.000 år till UNRWA, en tredjedel av UNRWA: s budget, som betjänar fem miljoner ättlingar arabiska flyktingar från kriget 1948, som har bott i och omkring 59 UNRWA flyktingläger i Libanon, Syrien, Jordanien och Israel i nästan 69 år .

David Bedein presenterade filmer och dokument som avslöjar UNRWA terrorist uppvigling för senator Jim Risch  tillsammans med Risch  tjänstemän, Mr Chris Socha , Alexa Lazerow.

GAO svarade den 21 juli att de hade fått begäran från senator Risch, och att de skulle agera utifrån det.

Senator hade hållit korrespondens med GAO hemligt tills mötet med Bedein, som flög in särskilt från Israel för att informera senator Risch att ingen förändring lanseras i UNRWAs utbildningssystemet inför det nya skolåret. Senator Risch hade fått försäkringar från högsta nivå vid den amerikanska regeringen att USA har granskats och kontrollerat de skolböcker som används i UNRWA: s skolor.

Bedein uppmärksammade och framförde bevis till senator Risch att USA inte gjort någon föresatts att kritisera skolböckerna som används av UNRWA, inte heller att granska UNRWAs skollärare i områden som kontrolleras av den palestinska myndigheten för att avgöra om UNRWA lärare är medlemmar i terroristorganisationer. UNRWA uppmuntrar terror genom yrkeslärare som har anställning i Libanon, Jordanien och Syrien.
