Truth at the UN

Sharing the truth at the UN? Well, that does not always happen. Especially when it comes to Israel. The United Nations has become a platform for criticizing and spreading lies about the one Jewish state. It is done by the world’s worst human rights abusers. Yet, everyone listens. The UN has failed at its duties. It allows for terrible things to happen in the world while wrongly accusing Israel of everything under the sun.

The Truth About UNRWA — said at the UN for the first time

On Monday the U.N. held their "Hate Israel Day": an entire Agenda Item devoted to attacking the Jewish state. No other country in the world is singled out in this fashion. But what they did not expect to hear was words of truth, when we at UN Watch gave the floor to the brilliant Dr. Einat Wilf, the world's top expert on UNRWA, the U.N. agency for Palestinians that — with more than $1 billion of our tax dollars donated each year by the EU, the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Netherlands, and the list goes on — does nothing but perpetuate the conflict:"Madam Vice President:In the 20th century, as empires collapsed and new states and borders were established, tens of millions of people fled or were expelled in the course of war. Muslims and Hindus, Greeks and Turks, Poles, Ukrainians, Germans and Jews moved on to build new lives, some aided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. None of them, nor their hundreds of millions of descendants, claim to be refugees today. Except the Palestinians. Why?Because the Palestinians, supported by the Arab world, violently rejected the two-state solution already in 1948, and were determined, despite losing, to continue the war to prevent the Jewish people from having a state.Having failed to do so by wars, terrorism and economic boycotts, Palestinians have hijacked UNRWA, which was to be a temporary agency for resettlement, to create and sustain a fiction that they are still all somehow refugees, generation after generation, and all possess a right, which does not exist in international law, to settle in a sovereign country in which they never lived and of which they were never citizens, so as to ensure that Israel no longer exists as a state for the Jewish people.UNRWA has been fueling the conflict for decades. Without UNRWA, this belligerent idea of “return” of millions could not have persisted for so long.If the conflict is ever to end with peace, UNRWA should no longer exist."https://unwatch.org/dr-einat-wilf-at-unhrc-if-the-conflict-is-ever-to-end-with-peace-unrwa-should-no-longer-exist/

One of its branches known as UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) does nothing productive. They actually are responsible for encouraging and allowing Palestinian Arab terrorism and incitement!

UNRWA Gets SLAMMED!

Finally. UNRWA gets slammed AT the United Nations itself! UNRWA has been perpetuating a “Palestinian refugee” problem that should not exist. And Dr. Einat Wilf lays it down perfectly to the UN. Representatives at the UN continue to condemn Israel on false pretenses. And countries continue to fund UNRWA and give money, which ultimately ends up going toward terrorism and incitement. It does not go toward helping any poor “Palestinian” refugee, who in fact should not be considered a refugee at all.

If the United Nations does not care about defending the truth, what do they care about? What do they really even stand for?

  1. Leah Rosenberg is absolutely right about UNRWA, the UN and the Palestinian “refugee problem”, which was created by the Arab states, but this is their Islamic Bomb, Taqiyah fueled propaganda against the Zionist state. But, of course, they do not hate Jews, only Zionists. India and Pakistan solved their refugee problem in the fifties when ten times as many peoples were “displaced.” It is media theater to shame Israel. Te Palestinains already have a state, Jordan.
It has become cool and liberal to be anti-Israel, and I blame this on western universities, the media and the revisionist history created by Israel bashers. For decades I contributed articles and letters to two daily newspapers in Vermont, but upon their hiring antifah-type editors, I was blacklisted. Had I been writing pro Palestine missives, I would still be welcome.
