RIGHT OF REPLY REQUESTED FROM JTA
As a journalist who has provided full-time coverage of the Palestinian entity since 1987, producing 3 books, 26 movies and 60 news investigations, I cordially request from the JTA a RIGHT OF REPLY to “the-zionist-case-for-palestinian-statehood,” published by JTA, https://www.jta.org/2025/08/28/ideas/the-zionist-case-for-palestinian-statehood which ignores the fact that there is no recognition of Israel offered by the planned Palestinian state
The PA/PLO never ratified the DOP – the Declaration of Principles of the Oslo accords.
Even worse, “The-zionist-case-for-palestinian-statehood” does not begin to address basic questions:
- Will the planned Palestinian state abolish the Palestinian Charter, which mandates the destruction of Israel?
- Will the planned Palestinian state revoke the law that legislates salaries for anyone who murders a Jew?
- Will the planned Palestinian state remove texts that glorify those who murder kill Jews?
- Will the planned Palestinian state eliminate educational materials that glorify the murder of Jews?
- In the maps of the planned Palestinian state, will the State of Israel appear alongside it?
- Will the planned Palestinian state cancel the motto of the “Right of Return through armed struggle”?
- Will the planned Palestinian state continue to confine descendants of Arabs who left their homes in 1948 to the indignity of refugee life for perpetuity?
- Will the planned Palestinian state indeed abide by the Palestine State Constitution based on Quranic Sharia Law?
