Background Briefing for Abbas Visit to Washington
 Machmud Abbas, head of the Palestinian Authority, arrives for an official visit to the White House on Wednesday afternoon, June 9.

In that context, you are cordially invited to cover an audiovisual background briefing on the newsworthy subject of the Palestinian refugees, where we will screen a new documentary film, “For the Sake of Nakba”, which examines the aspriations of the Palestinian people at this time.

This 25-minute film will be screened at 11:30 AM, Wednesday June 9, in room SC-6 (Senate Capital Room).

This movie was filmed on-location during May 2010 in the UNRWA Palestinian refugee camps,with the cooperation of the UNRWA staff and the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Education officials.

Arlene Kushner, author of “DISCLOSED: INSIDE THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY AND THE PLO”, along with numerous studies of the Palestinian refugee issue, will be present at the screening to entertain questions.

DVD copies of the movie will be available.
