I say this as a fellow traveler of the Jerusalem Black Panthers in the early 1970′s, as a social worker in the late 1970′s and early 1980′s, and as a reporter in Israel since 1987.

There was a time when Sephardim walked with a feeling of rejection and discrimination in Israeli society.

A leader with the stature of Rav Ovadia addressed that phenomenon. t.
