our Jerusalem bureau came across an instance where a young man from Pennsylvania was raising funds for a Hamas-related charity.
After the Bulletin published the story, a Philadelphia lawyer, Lee Bender, of blessed memory, advised the Bulletin that the actions of this young man were actionable under the “Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations law”, which defines aid to a designated terror group as a felony.

On my next visit to Philadelphia, Bender accompanied me to the local FBI office, with evidence in hand of the aid given to Hamas by this young man.
The FBI took action.
When the young man came for a visit to the US, he was arrested, prosecuted, convicted and jailed for aiding and abetting a designated terrorist organization.
He served three years in prison.
In April 2024, massive demonstrations were organized against Israel on campuses throughout the West.
Organizers of these demos openly proclaim their connections with Hamas and the PFLP, both of which are defined by the US, Canada and The UK as designated foreign terrorist organizations
What can a Jew do?
File criminal complaints with the FBI in the US, CSIS in Canada, or Scotland Yard in the UK against the designated foreign terrorist organizations.
