RAMALLAH, June 4, 2014 (WAFA) =96 Special envoy of the quartet on the Middle East Tony Blair Wednesday confirmed the Quartet’s support to the new Palestinian national consensus government.

Tony Blair called Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and greeted him on the occasion of forming the Palestinian national consensus government.

Bair welcomed the government=92s commitment to agreements, treaties and international initiatives endorsed and signed by the PLO.

Hamdallah valued the Quartet=92s position, and stressed the significance of the International support to enable the government to maintain and uplift its services to the Palestinian people.

He pointed out that the government’s main mission is to prepare for the general elections and to support and defend the people’s rights and steadfastness against the daily Israeli occupation’s violations.
