Dear David Bedein,

Palestinian Authority textbooks encourage violence against Israelis and include anti-Semitic messages.

This is according to an unpublished report commissioned by the European Union and recently obtained by The Jerusalem Post.

It follows news earlier this year that schoolbooks supplied by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) glorify jihad, erase Israel from maps of the region, and indoctrinate Palestinian youth with lies about Israel spreading diseases and dumping radioactive waste.

We must continue to work with America’s leaders to stand against violent incitement that makes peace between Israelis and Palestinians harder to achieve.

America should work with the EU and other allies to urge stricter monitoring of the content in textbooks and to demand that the Palestinian Authority stop indoctrinating its children to hate and kill.

Congress should also work with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who this week said the State Department would be “looking very, very carefully” at how UNRWA addresses hateful messages in its textbooks.

Your support helps ensure we have the resources needed to work with our leaders and educate them about this issue and other dangers facing the Jewish state.

Please show your support and join AIPAC by June 30 and help us reach our quarterly fundraising goal.

Please continue to help keep Israel safe by renewing your support for AIPAC today.

I hope we can count on you.

Sincerely,

Brian Shankman
Director of Regional Affairs and Development
