Coup Plot: Biden’s Intel Agencies ‘Expect’ Protests to Topple Netanyahu for ‘Moderate’ Leader

U.S. intelligence agencies are claiming that they “expect” protests to bring down the Israeli government and replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been an obstacle to President Joe Biden’s plans for the Middle East.

The claim emerged in the latest “Annual Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community,” and was published by both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times Monday evening, suggesting a coordinated leak to the media.

The assessment says:

  • Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has publicly stated his opposition to postwar diplomacy with the Palestinian Authority (PA) toward territorial compromise.
  • Netanyahu’s viability as leader as well as his governing coalition of far-right and ultraorthodox parties that pursued hardline policies on Palestinian and security issues may be in jeopardy. Distrust of Netanyahu’s ability to rule has deepened and broadened across the public from its already high levels before the war, and we expect large protests demanding his resignation and new elections. A different, more moderate government is a possibility.

Netanyahu was elected to his current term in office in November 2022 with a right-wing coalition that had the largest majority of any Israeli government in decades. His approval dropped during nationwide protests over his proposed judicial reforms, and in the immediate aftermath of the October 7 terror attacks, but recent polls suggest that his support has recovered, as he has led Israel to the edge of victory over Hamas while resisting international pressure.

Most important, there is no sign of division among the right-wing parties forming Netanyahu’s coalition. While some opposition parties have called for early elections, Netanyahu has successfully pushed back against the idea, noting that there is nothing Hamas and its Iranian sponsors would like more than to see Israel divided politically during the war. The next elections are scheduled for 2026, if the current government completes its allotted four-year term in office.

Netanyahu has withstood U.S. pressure to accept the Iran nuclear deal; to accept a Palestinian state as the outcome of the war — which he says would be a massive reward for Hamas; and to retreat from its own border in the face of missile attacks from Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists in northern Israel. As Breitbart News noted earlier Monday, reports have already emerged that the Biden administration is seeking Israeli consultants to help topple Netanyahu’s coalition.

Many observers have long suspected the Biden administration of working to bring down the Netanyahu government through a “color revolution.” A State Department-funded group was at the core of opposition to Netanyahu’s judicial reform, and then-Ambassador Tom Nides was described as the “arsonist-in-chief,” as he openly supported the Israeli opposition movement and the protests. President Biden also froze Netanyahu out, refusing to meet him for months.

Polls suggest that the vast majority of Israelis support Netanyahu’s positions — opposing a Palestinian state; backing the continuation of the war until Hamas’s complete defeat; and preparing for possible war against Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. Polls also indicate that the vast majority of Americans support Netanyahu’s approach to the war — and oppose Biden’s approach, which has sought to appease terror and dissenting left-wing and Muslim-American voters.

UNRWA: Teaching Palestinian Children to Murder Jews

David Bedein, head of the Center for Near East Policy Research, has been investigating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for decades. He discovered that international funding (including from the US) has been paying for textbooks that glorify terrorism and the murder of Jews. Now that it has been proven that UNRWA employees took part in the Hamas-led October 7 massacre of Israelis, Bedein is calling for a unique solution to the UNRWA problem.

USCIRF Leaves Saudi Arabia After Government Official Insisted Chair to Remove Kippah

USCIRF Leaves Saudi Arabia After Government Official Insisted Chair to Remove Kippah

Washington, DC – The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) ended early an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after authorities required the USCIRF delegation to leave the Diriyah UNESCO World Heritage Site in Riyadh when the USCIRF Chair, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, refused their requests that he remove his religious head covering (kippah).

The Saudi government had invited the delegation, led by Chair Cooper and Vice Chair Reverend Frederick A. Davie, to tour the site on March 5, as part of their official visit to the country that had started on March 3. After several delays to the tour, officials requested that Cooper, an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi, remove his kippah while at the site and anytime he was to be in public, even though the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs had approved the site visit. U.S. Embassy staff accompanying the USCIRF delegation supported and conveyed to Saudi officials Chair Cooper’s polite but resolute refusal to remove the kippah. Despite their efforts, site officials escorted the delegation off the premises after Chair Cooper indicated he sought no confrontation or provocation but as an observant Jew could not comply with a request to remove his kippah.

No one should be denied access to a heritage site, especially one intended to highlight unity and progress, simply for existing as a Jew,” said USCIRF Chair Cooper. “Saudi Arabia is in the midst of encouraging change under its 2030 Vision. However, especially in a time of raging antisemitism, being asked to remove my kippah made it impossible for us from USCIRF to continue our visit. We note, with particular regret, that this happened to a representative of a U.S. government agency promoting religious freedom. USCIRF looks forward to continuing conversations with the Saudi government about how to address the systematic issues that led to this troubling incident.”

Saudi officials’ request for Chair Cooper to remove his kippah was stunning and painful. It directly contradicted not only the government’s official narrative of change but also genuine signs of greater religious freedom in the Kingdom that we observed firsthand,” said USCIRF Vice Chair Davie. “We stand by our Chair and look forward to further discussions with our Saudi counterparts about protecting freedom of religion or belief for all. While we appreciate the various meetings we had in country with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Human Rights Commission, and other interlocuters, this unfortunate incident starkly illustrates that much more work remains to be done for Saudi Arabia to align with international legal protections guaranteeing this fundamental right.”

The key to real progress for all who seek peace is to remember that respect is a two-way street,” Chair Cooper and Vice Chair Davie added.

USCIRF has recommended the U.S. Department of State designate Saudi Arabia as a “country of particular concern,” or CPC, for systematic, ongoing, and egregious religious freedom violations every year since 2000, most recently in its 2023 Annual Report. The State Department has designated Saudi Arabia a CPC repeatedly since 2004, most recently in December 2023; however, it has issued waivers on taking any action as outlined in the International Religious Freedom Act (IRFA). As USCIRF has emphasized repeatedly, including in this recent publication, the right to religious freedom, as protected under international human rights law, includes the freedom to wear religious symbols and attire.

Experts slam leaked UNRWA report claiming Israel coerced workers into making false statements: ‘Ridiculous’

The scandal-plagued United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) claimed in a report that some of its workers were pressured by Israel to falsely admit their connections to the Oct. 7 mass murder carried out by Hamas.

According to a report reviewed by Reuters on Friday, “Agency staff members have been subject to threats and coercion by the Israeli authorities while in detention, and pressured to make false statements against the Agency, including that the Agency has affiliations with Hamas and that UNRWA staff members took part in the 7 October 2023 atrocities.”

When asked if UNRWA can provide Fox News Digital with a copy of the UNRWA report and the names of the alleged UNRWA workers, Juliette Touma, a UNRWA spokesperson, said, “I am not able to send it. The report was leaked to the media.”

The UNRWA report claimed that Palestinian detainees described “allegations of abuse, including beatings, humiliation, threats, dog attacks, sexual violence, and deaths of detainees denied medical treatment.”

When asked if UNRWA considers the U.S. and EU designated terrorist entity Hamas a terrorist organization. Touma said, “It’s not listed by the United Nations as a terrorist organization.” Hamas murdered 1,200 people on Oct. 7 in southern Israel, including over 30 Americans, and kidnapped more than 240 people.

Touma added “What I know is that we have written about the findings of the report on several occasions to the Israeli army and Israeli government.”

Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said last month that dozens of UNRWA employees participated in the Oct. 7 massacre. In November, Fox News Digital reported that UNRWA employees celebrated the Hamas terrorist attack.

Fox News Digital reached out to the IDF and Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) about the UNRWA report for comments. The IDF spokesman referred Fox News Digital to the MFA. An MFA spokesman told Fox News Digital the ministry is reviewing if any branches of Israel’s government received the UNRWA report.

Asked about the report and if in light of other nations refunding UNRWA, a State Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital, “The United States made an independent decision to temporarily pause additional funding to UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them. We continue to emphasize the critical role UNRWA plays in the delivery of humanitarian assistance in Gaza, and across the region, and do not want to see these allegations undermine efforts to provide life-saving humanitarian aid.”

The State Department spokesperson added, “We saw the announcements from the EU and Canada. UNRWA is the backbone of the humanitarian response in Gaza and plays a critical role for regional stability – it is critical it does not collapse.”

Sweden and Canada announced last week that they plan to pump tens of millions of dollars into the coffers of UNRWA. The State Department spokesperson declined to specifically address the UNRWA report.

Peter Gallo, an international lawyer and former Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) investigator at the U.N., provided Fox News Digital with his detailed analysis of the UNRWA report based on the Reuters article and Touma’s comments, calling them laughable.

Gallo said, “Even more hilarious is the statement by the UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma, who told Reuters that anyone with information on the allegations against UNRWA staff were encouraged to share it with the investigation. That has to be a contender for the best joke of the week.”

Gallo said, “These people live in Gaza, where every aspect of their lives since 2006 has been controlled by Hamas, a terrorist organization that has no political opposition, because the penalty for opposing them is death and Juliette Touma thinks that ordinary Gazans should provide information – to an Organization that cannot protect them and that has been manipulated by Hamas for years – about individuals who, in the service of Hamas were involved in the murder, rape and mutilation over 1,400 unarmed civilians.”

Jonathan Conricus, senior fellow at the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies and a former IDF spokesperson, said, “UNRWA staff have been exposed as members of Hamas and other terror organization in Gaza, as well as active participants in the atrocities of October 7.”

“As long as UNRWA exists in the Gaza Strip, there will be no peace, no Palestinian self-definition, no stability, but only poverty, despair, and a tremendous waste of human potential.”

The former Israeli army spokesperson said, “UNRWA should be dismantled, and the international community should instead invest in building local organizations focused on the future prosperity of Palestinians in Gaza, instead of indoctrinating children to be terrorists, and forcing Palestinians to live in a perpetual state of victimhood and misery.”

He added, “UNRWA has failed Palestinians in Gaza, has failed in its humanitarian mission, has failed to implement its mandate, and has been exposed to be little more than a facade for the continued rule of Hamas over the Gaza Strip.”

According to Conricus, “UNWRA should be held accountable for the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, since UNRWA knowingly decided not to evacuate civilians and not to establish a humanitarian zone in southern Gaza when Israel requested it to do so. It has implemented a policy of prioritizing the continued oppressive rule of Hamas over the needs of the civilian population.”

David Bedein, director of the Center for Near East Policy Research and an expert on UNRWA’s curriculum, called the UNRWA report “ridiculous” in an interview with Fox News Digital. He cited a 2009 report on his organization’s website that noted, “Since 1990 Hamas has dominated UNRWA’s unions in the Gaza Strip. In the elections held in June 2003, the Islamic Block affiliated with Hamas won 23 of the 27 seats, Hamas’s fourth consecutive victory in the UNRWA elections. That gave Hamas complete control of education, since the Islamic Block won all 11 of the teachers’ seats.”

Bedein claimed Hamas’ domination of UNRWA’s unions in the Gaza Strip continued after 2009.

Tumultuous Turmoil

The imminent advent of Ramadan will herald the annual orgy of anarchy, violence and vitriol.

According to Wikipedia, Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.

While that holds true for faithful followers, recent years have seen this religious festival hijacked by an increasing number of Islamic jihadist extremists. There has been a steady and incremental ratcheting up of terror attacks during this month-long period. The trail of murdered and maimed “infidels” has grown progressively and has encompassed most continents. It should also be noted that in many cases, innocent Muslims have fallen victim to this rampage of unadulterated hate.

It is convenient for apologists to try and excuse this annual orgy of terror by blaming Israel for its spread. However, the stark plain truth is that the murder of Christians in African countries and elsewhere has nothing to do with Israel and everything to do with the current sick appeasement of violence.

The unwillingness of democratic political leaders to face up to these threats and instead hide behind accusations of “Islamophobia” guarantees that the Ramadan rampages will succeed.

The deafening silence of Islamic “moderates” and interfaith groups in not denouncing the hijacking of this religious observance also contributes to its unimpeded stampede towards murderous mayhem.

If the current threats and bombastic pronouncements of Islamic leaders are to be believed, then this year’s observances will possibly be the deadliest on record. As the brother of a kidnapped hostage told a Knesset committee – “Ramadan is the month to murder Jews – not a holy time.”

That is the sad reality we face.

Hamas leaders and associated terror groups have already made their agenda plain. Their clarion calls for holy war against Israel over the Temple Mount is a clear and unambiguous rallying cry. This exhortation to subvert a religious observance and weaponise it against Jews and anyone who might support them leaves no doubt as to its deadly intentions.

The question which must be asked, therefore, is where are the denunciations by lay and religious leaders of all faiths? Furthermore, where are the politicians who normally need no prompting to denounce each and every act that Israel takes to protect its citizens?

What steps are being taken to monitor those who spread Ramadan-sanctioned violent rhetoric in mosques and Islamic schools?

Those who have already urged their followers to indulge in terror are known. Have they been sanctioned and banned and if not why not? What are political leaders waiting for? When the inevitable murder and mayhem ensues, there will be much hypocritical wringing of hands and protestations of pious pomposity. A Miami Imam recently stated that “after Israel, it will be time for jihadists to deal with Europe and the USA.” Where is the uproar over this clear intent to fan terror?

Where are religious leaders? Has anyone heard a denunciation of Ramadan rampages from the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury or the World Council of Churches? How many interfaith groups prefer to look the other way and pretend that the jihadists are really only an insignificant bunch of lunatics? Most importantly, how many Muslim clerics and leaders of Islamic organisations are brave enough to denounce the terrorists or do they prefer to blame Jews and Israel for existing in the first place?

Also missing in action are most Jewish lay and religious leaders. Issuing fuzzy and pareve statements in the hope that it will not attract any criticism is no way to combat calls for Ramadan riots.

The failure to deal with past and impending threats can be seen on the streets of major cities, in universities and in many other areas of daily life. Venues are cancelled because of intimidation and mobs incite Jewish students with calls to expel then from universities. This is an identical rerun of how the Nazi mobs acted against Jews in Germany and elsewhere in Europe during the lead-in to the Shoah.

Israelis who have been invited to speak at international conferences and seminars are suddenly disinvited because of mob intimidation. Jewish speakers on university campuses are threatened and meetings cancelled. Jews in London are scared to leave their homes and attend synagogues on Shabbat because of rampaging demonstrators shouting murderous slogans.

Authorities appear weak and powerless In the face of these manifestations of mob rule and clear intentions to cause physical harm to Jews. They instead prefer to resort to appeasement and an apparent acquiescence to hateful anti-Jewish/Israel actions. In most cases, they take their lead from the double-speaking political establishment.

In the midst of all this display of disgusting duplicity, we are faced with ever more examples of unbelievable imbecility.

Russia has hosted a grand assembly of Islamic terror groups with the stated aim of having them unite into one entity under the umbrella of the internationally anointed peace doves in Ramallah. Presumably, if this were to eventuate the UN and the left would ecstatically embrace them as apostles of a new Middle East. No doubt the USA, Australia, NZ and Canada would also welcome it as proof of a “revitalised” Palestinian Authority and expect Israel to instantly give its kosher seal of approval. The prospect of the UN embracing such a collection of terror facilitators is so “treif” that no kosher seal of approval could ever be given by any self-respecting Israeli Government.

Meanwhile, the Eurovision saga schleps on to its inevitable farcical conclusion.

Having had its two songs banned because the lyrics were deemed unacceptably “political”, Israel is now trying to come up with something sufficiently woke“Politically unacceptable” is all in the eyes of the organisers who, in this case, refuse to accept any mention, no matter how obliquely, of hostages and kidnapped Israelis. One could argue that faced with this shameful sham, Israel should tell the competition officials that, in the circumstances, it would not take part in what promises to be a hate fest in Malmo. As this is precisely what the haters and boycotters desire, in fact, there is no need to hand them a victory on a plate. Therefore, Israel will most likely take part with some sort of emasculated entry in place of the original songs.

It is already a foregone conclusion that Israel’s participation will generate mob violence in Malmo with threats to participants. If Israel surmounts this challenge and is not excluded by Swedish authorities terrified of jihadist terror, the prospects of audience disruptions are high. There is no way that Israel’s entry will win, let alone reach a respectable place, because the voting is politically stacked against it. In normal circumstances, this obviously biased gang-like ambush would be denounced for what it really is. However, given the current state of international moral cowardice, one can expect exultations of joy from terror supporters and the usual muted or silent non-response from democratic nations.

A classic example of the dilemmas faced by targeted Jewish communities is provided by the forthcoming general elections in South Africa scheduled for the end of May.

The current ANC Government is, for all intents and purposes, an overseas branch of Hamas. Its embrace of the evil Nazi-like ideology of this terror group has negatively impacted South African Jews, most of whom are staunch supporters of Israel. In a desperate attempt at damage control, the South African Jewish leadership has issued an urgent appeal to eligible expatriates living in Australia to exercise their vote. Whether they do or not, their participation will most probably not affect the eventual outcome. If, in the likely event that despite corruption and total mismanagement, the ANC and their allies succeed in retaining power, the repercussions for the Jews will be even more negative.

The writing has been on the wall now for some time and these elections will merely accelerate the inevitable. There is really only one course of action still available. That is for the Jews of South Africa to vote with their feet and get out while they still safely can do so.

Faced with imminent tumultuous turmoil, Israel and Jews around the world must face reality and prepare accordingly.

Forewarned is forearmed.

Fourteen issues UNRWA’s chief must address before Congress

Swiss diplomat Phillipe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the U.N.’s Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, has just been asked to appear on the record and in person before the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Following the recent discovery of Hamas arsenals inside and below UNRWA schools, the new Palestinian Authority educational curriculum is of immediate concern. This curriculum indoctrinates Palestinian Arab children, encouraging them to conquer all of “Palestine” by force of arms. This is hardly an appropriate goal for a U.N. agency.

1. UNRWA textbooks violate U.N. principles of peaceful reconciliation. For example, the agency has reintroduced a new textbook that lionizes terrorist Dalal Mughrabi. In 1978, Mughrabi’s terror squad commandeered a bus and murdered 38 passengers, including 13 children. The textbook presents her as a role model for UNRWA pupils. She is depicted in full terrorist garb. The lesson plan portrays her life story as suited for adulation and emulation.

2. In Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and Gaza, UNRWA makes exclusive use of Palestinian Authority textbooks. Like all U.N. agencies, UNRWA is supposed to run schools based on the U.N. slogan “Peace Begins Here.” P.A. schools, however, promote the ideology of the Palestine Liberation Organization: Conquest of “Palestine” by force of arms. Lazzarini could immediately cancel the UNRWA-P.A. contract.

3. UNRWA schools are adorned with posters and murals of “martyrs” who died while murdering Jews. Lazzarini could order the removal of all such images from UNRWA facilities.

4. El Kutla youth clubs in UNRWA schools inculcate pupils with the mantra of the armed struggle from a young age. Lazzarini can order these clubs to end violent incitement.

5. Military parades are frequently held on UNRWA premises. Lazzarini can end this practice immediately.

6. Hamas members lead UNRWA’s teachers and workers unions. Lazzarini can stipulate that any agency employee who runs on a “Hamas ticket” must be dropped from the payroll. After all, even the U.N. defines Hamas as a terrorist organization.

7. “Nakba Day” events are held at UNRWA facilities each year on May 15, the day the PLO mourns the defeat of the Arab armies that invaded Israel in 1948. These rallies call for violence. Lazzarini can issue a directive banning any incitement to violence at such events.

8. Popular Gazan singer Mohammad Assaf, who claims to be a “UNRWA Youth Ambassador,” routinely incites crowds to violence. Lazzarini can issue a policy statement banning Assaf from UNRWA premises.

9. Memorial events for Arabs killed while murdering Jews occur regularly in UNRWA schools. Lazzarini can cancel them.

10. Lazzarini can ensure fiscal transparency. UNRWA receives $1.6 billion in annual donations from 67 nations and 32 NGOs, mostly in cash. Lazzarini must ensure that this money is used for humanitarian needs, not stolen by terror groups. He must also put an end to all cash donations, which make transparency almost impossible.

11. Using the diplomatic pouches of donor nations, UNRWA exports textbooks promoting the “right of return” of Palestinian Arab refugees and their descendants, along with the replacement of Israel with an Arab supremacist “Palestine.” Lazzarini can end this practice immediately.

12. UNRWA has never revealed its financial practices, including how it spends its budget. Lazzarini can immediately release an accounting of expenditures to the public.

13. UNRWA distributes world and regional maps that erase Israel and replace the names of all Israeli cities with Arabic names. Should Israel, a U.N. member in good standing, not appear on a map issued by a U.N. agency? Lazzarini can end this practice of cartographic ethnic cleansing immediately.

14. Over the past 25 years, thousands of UNRWA students aged 9-16 have participated in summer camps that feature arms training with live weapons. With summer approaching in a few months, Lazzarini can act to stop this training of child soldiers that violates U.N. resolutions protecting the health and well-being of children.

Demand OSU Shut Down Antisemitic BDS Referendum

Last week, the Undergraduate Student Senate at the Ohio State University (OSU) rightfully removed an antisemitic referendum urging students to vote for the university to divest from companies doing business with Israel, America’s greatest ally in the Middle East. This decision stemmed from OSU Divest, the organization behind the discriminatory campaign, violating the Student Government’s bylaws by using social media to garner more signatures for their hateful initiative.

However, less than 24 hours before voting opened, OSU’s Jewish community received an email stating that the Judiciary Panel reversed course and caved to anti-Israel detractors on campus by placing the hateful referendum back on the ballot. This disturbing decision followed an appeal by the university’s Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter, which serves as an extension of the notorious hate movement that, following the October 7 massacre by Hamas — the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust — championed that its members are part of the same “resistance” movement.

By not informing students about the appeal, OSU’s Jewish and pro-Israel students could not attend the hearing to argue why the bylaw violations must be upheld, with the absurd referendum remaining off the ballot. As a consequence of this disgusting decision to appease radical, anti-Israel groups on campus, OSU is giving wind to the bigoted BDS movement, which aims to economically strangle the sole democracy in the Middle East at a time when antisemitism is surging worldwide as Israel defends civilians against Hamas’s terrorism.

Even more alarming is the reality that this referendum is coming at a time when Jew hatred is at an all-time high at American colleges and universities, with OSU being far from excluded. Since October 7, two Jewish OSU students were physically assaulted just off campus. The school’s Hillel building was also vandalized, and Jewish students were spit on. As if this wasn’t enough, OSU is also under federal investigation by the U.S. Department of Education following damning allegations of discrimination against Jewish students.

The OSU administration and Board of Trustees must intervene and exclude the referendum from the ballot, mirroring the actions taken at the University of Michigan in November 2023. In that instance, during an antisemitic referendum campaign, anti-Israel activists similarly breached regulations by distributing a mass email encouraging the student body to vote for the divestment referendum. Call on the OSU administration to adopt a similar course of action to ensure the safety of Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus today and in the future.

Their dovish hopes clipped, some Gaza border residents make peace with becoming hawks

The fact that the Hamas terrorists who invaded her kibbutz on October 7 wanted to murder everyone there came as no surprise to Irit Lahav, a peace activist from Nir Oz, where one in four residents were killed or kidnapped.

Even before the massacre, Lahav had entertained no illusions about Hamas. Like many other kibbutzniks and moshav residents with dovish attitudes near the border with Gaza, she had seen how the group deliberately targeted civilians, including by firing rockets into residential areas at specific times to increase loss of life.
