Jerusalem - On Wednesday, Member of Knesset Yitzhak Levy, an Orthodox Rabbi from the Israel National Union party, whose daughter was murdered in a terror attack seven years ago made a surprising declaration: "I am prepared for the murderers of my daughter to be released in order to bring Gilad Shalit home," said Levy.

Jerusalem, Israel - An Israeli security official said that Hamas is trying to create a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and, therefore, there are recurrent attempts to attack the crossings. The official said Hamas is trying to create international pressure on Israel by means of a humanitarian crisis. Sources in the security establishment told Israel Radio that, at this stage, there is enough food, water and fuel for at least 80 days.

After one year of no signs from Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit, taken captive by Hamas on June 25, 2006, an audio-taped recording of what is believed to be Shalit's voice was released to the media in Gaza on the anniversary of the capture.

The Israeli media dubbed this "the summit of low expectations."

Only 10 days have passed since Hamas took control, and the first signs that the Gaza Strip is turning into a fanatic Islamic emirate already can be seen.
