However, the malaise of the U.S. is not terminal: In the times of Ronald Reagan, George Bush, the father, and George W. Bush, the son, the U.S. had a different image, because then at least, there was the will to cope with the problem-makers, not to appease them and not to surrender to them. Those were the days and those were the people. Are there any left like these? Where are they?

  1. As an old man who is also a veteran of Korea for the US military and a veteran for Israel in 1073, I am very much ashamed by the lameness of the US and her "Western Allies". I wa raised in a southern town, where in the old days Jews were frowned upon. Thank the Lord that my father taught me to fight for my right to exist in this climate and for the freedoms as expressed in the US Constitution.

    Thge Korean "Undeclared War" was the beginning of the downturn of the US and then exasperated in Viet Nam by the hippie movement. I’m of the opinion that we will continue the decline until we no longer exist as a free bnation unless something drastic is done. Perhaps in times like this, we need a patriotic dictator in the White House who will do away with the everlasting arguments that proceed major decisions. We are a Republic where in cases like this, democracy doesn’t work

    Almost everything in the Democratic Party’s line is caustic to everything we have been taught to believe in. There is not enough room in this response to show how to win back our country, but to reverse everthing in their playbook would be a good start.
