With the departure of Shimon Peres as the President of Israel, all bets are off.
Peres can now act independently, with no constraints of the presidential office.
The Peres Center for Peace, with funding from 18 foreign governments, and an impressive network of 100+ NGO’s , has now launcheda campaign to promote the PLO state.
The first success of that campaign was evidenced in the vote of the European Parliament in which the EU legislative body voted overwhelmingly to endorse a PLO state.
