Jerusalem Arab school honors parents of killers: Son of murdered Jew asks to address the school

This week, word came out that a Jerusalem Arab school bestowed honors on the parents of three young men who had murdered Jews on a bus in the contiguous Jewish neighborhood back in October.

Israel Resource News Agency asked the Prime Minister’s office for a reaction, and also contacted Michah Avni for his response.

Michah’s father, Richard Lakin, an American Israeli citizen, was shot and then stabbed to death by these assailants.

The response of the Prime Minister’s office was to order an investigation of the Arab school which bestowed honors on the killers.

Michah’s response was different.

He asked the Arab school to invite him to speak.

Richard Lakin was well known for his efforts to encourage Arab-Jewish dialogue.
