From frequent travels to the British Parliament over the past decade, it has become clear that those who now speak up for Israel in the UK may take their lives in their hands.

Having met MP Amess, recently murdered by a Moslem in the UK and having witnessed the values that he stood for, it would seem that such a threat did not deter MP Amess from speaking up for Zionism and Israel

David Amess stemmed from the same British Christian tradition which fostered the Balfour Declaration, November 2, 1917, the documents which legislated that Jews deserve a protected homeland.

Judaism describes such selfless commitment as “Kiddush HaShem” –

One might characterize David Amess as a “Catholic Kiddush Hashem”.

  1. Jews should remember the sacrifices made by Judeophils to facilitate the Jewish homeland. The British cemetery in Beer Sheva is full of souls who died for the resurrection of Israel.

David Bedein is an MSW community organizer and an investigative journalist.   In 1987, Bedein established the Israel Resource News Agency at Beit Agron to accompany foreign journalists in their coverage of Israel, to balance the media lobbies established by the PLO and their allies.   Mr. Bedein has reported for news outlets such as CNN Radio, Makor Rishon, Philadelphia Inquirer, Los Angeles Times, BBC and The Jerusalem Post, For four years, Mr. Bedein acted as the Middle East correspondent for The Philadelphia Bulletin, writing 1,062 articles until the newspaper ceased operation in 2010. Bedein has covered breaking Middle East negotiations in Oslo, Ottawa, Shepherdstown, The Wye Plantation, Annapolis, Geneva, Nicosia, Washington, D.C., London, Bonn, and Vienna.
